Puka Nacua Snags First BYU Touchdown In Loss To Baylor

WACO, Texas – Wide receiver Puka Nacua hauled in his first touchdown catch as a BYU player late in the Cougars’ loss to the Baylor Bears.
The Bears hosted the No. 19 Cougars at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas on Saturday, October 16.
With 1:51 left in the fourth quarter, BYU quarterback Jaren Hall connected with Nacua for a 16-yard touchdown.

Nacua’s touchdown grab cut the Bears’ lead to 38-24.
The play capped a seven-play, 75-yard drive that lasted 2:04.
Nacua finished the game with five receptions for a career-high 168 yards and a touchdown. He also had one carry for nine yards.

Hall ended the contest 22/31 passing for a career-high 342 yards and one touchdown.

With the loss, the Cougars fell to a 5-2 record in 2021.
