Tyler Allgeier Powers Across Goal Line To Give BYU Lead Over Baylor

WACO, Texas – BYU running back Tyler Allgeier powered his way into the end zone to get the Cougars on the scoreboard against the Baylor Bears.
The Bears hosted the No. 19 Cougars at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas on Saturday, October 16.
With 12:17 left in the first half, BYU had the ball on the Baylor one-yard line with an upcoming 3rd & Goal play.
BYU quarterback Jaren Hall handed the rock off to Allgeier before the sophomore running back fought through a would-be tackler and into the end zone for six points.

Allgeier’s run resulted in the Cougars’ first points of the contest and gave BYU a 7-3 lead.
The play capped an eight-play, 75-yard drive that lasted 3:54.

It was Allgeier’s ninth touchdown run of the 2021 season.
After the play, he had six carries for 11 yards and a touchdown.
Allgeier and the Cougars were set up in Baylor territory following a big connection of 52 yards between Hall and wide receiver Puka Nacua six plays prior to the touchdown run.
