No. 3 Skyridge Dominates No. 5 American Fork In Regular Season Finale

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The third ranked Skyridge Falcons ended the season with a 42-22 blowout win over No. 5 American Fork on Wednesday night.
The running game was in full swing for the Falcons. McCae Hillstead had just two passing touchdowns, finding Josh Davis and Jack Hadfield. Hillstead also ran in three TD’s in the win.
Here are all of the results in the 6A classification from the 10th week of the high school football season.
Region 1
Davis 24 @ Clearfield 21
Davis had a slim 17-14 halftime lead before Clearfield took the lead back with a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Darts found the end zone in the fourth quarter to pick up the win.
Fremont 24 @ No. 7 Weber 35
Fremont jumped out to a 17-0 lead before Weber scored 28 unanswered to pick up the win. Aidan Carter threw two touchdown passes, connecting with Stockton short and Cannon DeVries. DeVries also ran in a touchdown.
Syracuse 14 @ No. 18 Farmington 24
Farmington had a 17-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter and held on for the win. Kenyon Brown ran in all three of Farmington’s touchdowns in the win. Jake Hopkins threw a touchdown pass to Dylan Crosford, while Daxton Faddis had a rushing TD in the loss for the Titans.
Region 2
Granger 20 @ No. 9 West 28
Granger had a 20-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter but West was able to storm back with 21 unanswered points to avoid the upset. Bronson Saena had three rushing touchdowns for the Panthers, while Viliata Tua’one had a pick-six with 1:23 left in the game to secure the win.
Taylorsville 0 @ Roy 55
Parker Kingston threw for two touchdowns, finding Ethan Ecker and Colby Dickson, while also running in three touchdowns. Ecker and Kobe Bennett each added a rushing score.
Cyprus 14 @ Kearns 21
The Kearns Cougars held off the Cyprus Pirates on Friday night, 21-14. Kearns quarterback Iosefa Toia’ivao hit Kody Barrett late in the fourth quarter for the go-ahead score. Toia’ivao tossed three touchdown passes in the game.
Region 3
West Jordan 45 @ Copper Hills 9
The Jaguars capped the regular season with a lot of points as they scored 28 in just the first quarter. Boston Farmer threw for four touchdowns, finding Carter Baldwin three times and Porter Hall once. Octavian Heflin added two rushing TD’s.
Herriman 27 @ No. 17 Mountain Ridge 24 (OT)
Mountain Ridge had a 17-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter before Herriman stormed back with 17 unanswered to force overtime. Jack White kicked the field goal for the win and the upset. White ran in a touchdown as did Carson Gundy. The Mustangs also had a blocked kick returned for a touchdown. For Mountain Ridge, Cade Uluave and Ayden Helm ran in touchdowns, while Helm connected with Jordan Day through the air.
No. 6 Bingham 17 @ Riverton 28
Bingham jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter before Riverton cut the lead to 17-14 at halftime. The Silverwolves held the Miners scoreless in the second half while scoring 14 points to pull off the upset. Jake Meyers threw one touchdown and caught a TD pass for Riverton. Josh Jacobson ran in two TD’s. For Bingham, Dallen Martinez ran for two touchdowns in the loss.
Region 4
No. 2 Corner Canyon 56 @ Pleasant Grove 8
Corner Canyon bounced back nicely after having their long winning streak snapped last week. Devin Brown threw for six touchdowns, finding Cody Hagen three times, Jett Meine twice and Zach Hale once. Tre Kofe added a rushing touchdown as did Maximus Edwards.

Westlake 7 @ No. 1 Lone Peak 42
The new No. 1 team in the state defending their ranking well in the regular season finale. Easton Comer accounted for four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing. He connected with Luke Hyde, Alex Passey and Max Bateman.
