No. 14 Brighton Takes Down Murray In Regular Season Finale

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The 14th ranked Brighton Bengals picked up a blowout win over Murray, 59-6 in the regular season finale.
The Bengals scored 35 points in the opening quarter and cruised after that. Jack Johnson threw two touchdowns, finding Sam Lowe and Lander Barton. Barton also had a pick-six and a rushing touchdown. Kace Gurr added two rushing TD’s for Brighton.
Here are all of the results in the 5A classification from the 10th week of the high school football season.
Region 6
Highland 0 @ East 34
Sione Vailahi threw a touchdown pass to Chase Barker. Amini Amone led the way with two rushing touchdowns for the Leopards, while Petelo Tafisi and Omar Shah added rushing TD’s.

Olympus 27 @ No. 23 Skyline 7
The Olympus Titans upset the No. 23 Skyline Eagles on Friday night, 27-7. Olympus jumped out to a 21-o lead in the opening quarter and prevented Skyline from scoring until the final minutes of the game. Titans quarterback Seth Roberts accounted for four touchdowns in the game.
Region 7
Mountain View 16 @ Payson 28
Luke Ivers accounted for four touchdowns in the win for the Lions. He threw three touchdown passes, two to Cooper Swasey and one to Jaxton Howard, while running in a score.
Cedar Valley 42 @ Hillcrest 6
Easton Schank was rolling on Wednesday with four touchdowns on the ground. Cooper Thomson threw two touchdown passes, both to Taygen Hansen.
Region 8
No. 4 Timpview 49 @ Jordan 21
The Thunderbirds scored 35 points in the first half and cruised to the win. Liu Aumavae threw for three touchdowns, finding Pokai Haunga twice and Tei Nacua once. Haunga also ran in a TD for Timpview.

No. 11 Lehi 38 @ No. 12 Orem 17
The Pioneers had a strong first half with a 24-7 lead at halftime. Gabe Cowan threw a TD pass to Carson Gonzalez. Gonzalez also ran in a score as did Isaac Mills.
Non-Region
No. 25 Sky View (4A) 14 @ No 16 Bountiful 41
The Redhawks scored 20 points in the second quarter to create separation from Sky View. Corbin Cottle had four rushing touchdowns for Bountiful. Owen Geilman threw two touchdown passes to Drew Bowles and Jaxon Demorest.
Mountain Crest (4A) 7 @ Maple Mountain 30
Hunter Bezzant threw four touchdowns in the win for Maple Mountain. He connected with Jaxson Denton twice, along with one to Sean Persson and Nathan Heaton.
Woods Cross 0 @ No. 15 Spanish Fork 36
Joshua Buck led the way for the Dons with three rushing touchdowns. Tubby Reupena and Tayson Reid each had a score on the ground in the win.
Layton Christian (1A) 23 @ Uintah 30
Uintah needed a touchdown with 1:25 left in the game to secure the win over Layton Christian. Josh Speirs threw three touchdowns for the Utes, finding Aiden Scheetz, Evan Garcia and Kaedyn Sheffield.
Northridge 41 @ Cottonwood 7
The Northridge Knights fended off the Cottonwood Colts on Friday evening, 41-7. Northridge owned a 34-7 lead at halftime and coasted to the win. Josh Acord scored three touchdowns for the Knights.
