Finau is scheduled to play alongside K.H. Lee and Justin Rose throughout the opening two rounds of the competition with the opening Thursday tee time slated for 9:56 a.m. before a 12:42 p.m. tee time on Friday.
The CJ Cup does not have a cut, meaning, that Finau will be present for all four rounds in quest of a third career PGA Tour victory.
Finau played a key role in helping team USA dissemble team Europe during last month’s Ryder Cup. Immediately following the victory, Finau stated that he was dealing with a “persisting health issue” and subsequently withdrew from the Dunhill Links Championship which he was expected to attend the week immediately following the Ryder Cup.
No statement has been made on what the “persisting health issue” was, however, Finau was spotted playing friendly rounds of golf with friends and family across the Wasatch Front throughout the last month. With his most recent commitment to The CJ Cup, it would appear that the health issue is no longer a problem for the 32-year-old Utah native.
The CJ Cup will be available to watch via the Golf Channel from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. from Thursday through to Sunday.
