Report: Zaire Wade To Join Jazz G League Affiliate Stars

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Zaire Wade, the son of Utah Jazz part-owner and former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade will reportedly sign a G League contract and join the Salt Lake City Stars.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Wade, a high school senior was opting to take the pro route rather than playing college basketball.
“Zaire Wade, the son of Dwyane Wade, is signing a contract in the NBA G League and is expected to join the Utah Jazz’s affiliate Salt Lake City Stars, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium,” Charania tweeted. “Dwyane Wade is a part-owner of the Jazz.”

Zaire is a three-star guard, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 170 lbs, and has scholarship offers to Rhode Island, Nebraska, Depaul, South Carolina, and Toledo.
Players who have finished their high school careers can bypass college by signing a G League contract and entering the entry draft. The G League entry draft will be held on October 23.
Father Dwyane was the fifth overall pick by the Miami Heat in the 2003 NBA draft after spending two seasons at Marquette. Dwyane was three championships as a member of the Heat while being named to 13 All-Star teams and eight All-NBA teams.

In April, it was announced that Dwyane had purchased a minority share of the Jazz and has been an active particpant at the team’s games and practice since.
The Stars meanwhile will begin play on November 5 against the Oklahoma City Blue in Oklahoma and conclude on April 2 against the Stockton Kings in Salt Lake City.
