Utah’s Rising, Latu Receive Pac-12 Weekly Honors After USC Win

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football’s Cam Rising and Kamo’i Latu received Pac-12 Conference weekly honors following their performances during the Utes’ win over the USC Trojans.
The Utes defeated the Trojans in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 9.
On Monday, October 11, Rising and Latu were recognized for their play from the weekend.
The duo helped Utah beat USC, 42-26. It was Utah’s first win over USC in Los Angeles since 1916.
Rising received the conference’s Offensive Player of the Week honor and Latu was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.

Rising was 22/28 passing for 306 yards and three touchdowns. The quarterback also ran the ball six times for 27 yards and a touchdown.
Latu finished the game with 10 tackles and a pass breakup.

The Utes own a 3-2 record on the season, including a perfect 2-0 in Pac-12 games.
Utah’s next game is a home contest against the No. 18 Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday, October 16 at 8 p.m. (MDT). The game will be broadcast on ESPN and 700 AM.
