Brant Kuithe Bursts For Touchdown To Give Utah Early Lead Over USC

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Utah tight end Brant Kuithe burst towards the end zone on a sweep to give the Utes an early lead over the USC Trojans.
The Trojans hosted the Utes at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, October 9.
With 17 seconds left in the first quarter, Utah quarterback Cam Rising handed the ball off to a sweeping Kuithe.
The junior tight end took the ball 11 yards into the end zone for six points.

Kuithe’s score gave the Utes a 7-3 lead.
The play capped an eight-play, 75-yard drive that lasted 3:31.
Following the drive, Rising was 4/5 passing for 43 yards.
Kuithe had one catch for three yards and one run for 11 yards and a touchdown.

It was the tight end’s second touchdown of the 2021 season.
USC scored first and took a 3-0 lead on a field goal with 3:48 remaining in the first quarter.
Utah’s game against USC is broadcast on FOX and 700 AM.
