One-Handed Catch By BYU WR Puka Nacua Leads To TD By Brother Samson

PROVO, Utah – BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua hauled in a catch with one-handed to set up a touchdown reception by his older brother Samson later in the drive during the Cougars’ game against the Boise State Broncos.
The No. 10 Cougars hosted the Broncos at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah on Saturday, October 9.
With 9:00 left in the first quarter, BYU quarterback Jaren Hall aired out a throw for Nacua. The sophomore receiver hauled in the ball with one hand for a 37-yard reception that moved the Cougars into Boise State territory.

Four plays later, Hall floated a ball into the back corner of the end zone. Puka’s older brother Samson Nacua leaped over a Bronco defender and came down with the ball for a BYU touchdown.
Nacua’s touchdown catch gave BYU a 10-0 lead with 6:55 remaining in the opening quarter.

It was the older Nacua’s second touchdown catch of the season.
The play capped a five-play, 84-yard drive that lasted 2:20.
After the play, Hall was 7/8 passing for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Puka had two catches for 51 yards.
Samson had one reception for 14 yards and a touchdown.
