SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Skyline Eagles upset the No. 16 Park City Miners on Friday evening, 10-6.

No. 16 Park City 6 @ Skyline 10

Skyline’s only touchdown came on a connection between Alexander Emery and Austin Okerwa. The Eagles controlled the majority of the contest and limited the Miners their only score in the final minute of the game. With the win, Skyline improved to 6-3 on the season and Park City fell to 4-5.

Here are all of the results in the 5A classification from the ninth week of the high school football season.

Region 5

Bonneville 20 @ Box Elder 0

The Bonneville Lakers blanked the Box Elders Bees, 21-0. Lakers quarterback Koy Dixon threw a pair of touchdown passes in the game. With the win, Bonneville improved to 5-4 on the season and Box Elder fell to 3-6.

Woods Cross 0 @ Viewmont 21

The Viewmont Vikings shut out the Woods Cross Wildcats on Friday, 21-0. Four different Viewmonth players accounted for touchdowns. With the win, Viewmont improved to 3-6 on the season and Woods Cross fell to 0-9.

No. 18 Bountiful 59 @ Northridge 14

The No. 18 Bountiful Redhawks blasted the Northridge Knights on Friday, 59-14. Corbin Cottle scored three touchdowns for Bountiful. With the win, Bountiful improved to 6-2 on the season and Northridge fell to 6-3.

Region 6

Highland 7 @ Olympus 10 (Thurs.)

Olympus made a field goal just before halftime for the first points of the game. Towards the end of the third quarter, Highland got a touchdown pass from Elijah Tolbert to Ashton Zwick to take the lead. The Titans took the lead back for good with a touchdown run by Josh Peterson.

East 62 @ Murray 27 (Thurs.)

Amini Amone ran in three touchdowns, along with one from Petelo Tafisi, Kevyn Little and Omar Shah. East had a 38-21 lead at halftime and held the Spartans to just six second half points.

Region 7

Tooele 34 @ Timpanogos 48 (Thurs.)

The game was tightly contested through the first half with Timpanogos holding a 27-20 lead. They separated themselves with two unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter. Matu Holdaway accounted for five touchdowns, one rushing and four passing. He found Luke Livingston three times and once to Matthew Torgersen.

Mountain View 14 @ Cedar Valley 27 (Thurs.)

Cooper Thomson threw two touchdown passes for the Aviators to Taygen Hansen and Noah Burnham. Easton Schank added two rushing touchdowns in the win.

Hillcrest 10 @ Uintah 47

The Uintah Utes cruised past the Hillcrest Huskies, 47-10. Uintah’s Jace Evans rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns. With the win, Uintah improved to 4-5 on the season and Hillcrest fell to 1-8.

Payson 16 @ Stansbury 41

The Stansbury Stallions stomped the Payson Lions on Friday, 41-16. Ezra Harris and Nate Bushnell each scored a pair of touchdowns for the Stallions. With the win, Stansbury improved to 7-2 on the season and Payson fell to 4-5.

Region 8

Alta 58 @ Jordan 24 (Thurs.)

Alta scored all 58 of their points in the first three quarters. Ethan Jackson threw three touchdown passes, one to each Jensen Campbell, Jace Turner and Teague Matthews. Anson Jaramillo added three rushing touchdown for the Hawks.

No. 11 Lehi 14 @ No. 4 Timpview 28 (Thurs.)

Timpview scored 14 points in the first quarter and those were the only points scored in the first half on either side. Lehi scored both of their TD’s in the third quarter but the Thunderbirds found the end zone twice in the second half. Liu Aumavae ran in a touchdown and threw two TD’s to Tei Nacua. Micah Beckstead added a rushing score. Jackson Brousseau threw both of his touchdown passes to Jaxon Christensen for Lehi.

Region 9

No. 17 Spanish Fork 41 @ Maple Mountain 13 (Thurs.)

Austin Stevenson found Cade Olsen for his only touchdown threw the air for the Dons. Stevenson, Joshua Buck, Darian Harrison and Tayson Reid all ran in touchdowns in the win.

Salem Hills 7 @ No. 10 Springville 28

The Springville Red Devils defeated the Salem Hills Skyhawks on Friday, 28-7. After owning a 14-7 lead at halftime, the Red Devils scored 14 points in the fourth quarter.

No. 21 Provo 41 @ Wasatch 45

The Wasps had a 45-28 lead with under seven minutes remaining in the game. Jace Welsch ran in two unanswered touchdowns but the comeback came up short for Provo. Quezon Villa threw five touchdowns, including three to Joshua Sanders for Wasatch. Welch finished with five total touchdowns, one passing, three rushing and one receiving.

Non-Region

Hurricane (4A) 28 @ Cottonwood 49

Hurricane took a 13-7 lead into the second quarter when Cottonwood scored 21 unanswered points and cruised from that point. Brock Simpson had four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing. He found Jamal Lomax, Adam Cage and Kaelen Gray. Jaxon Martinez added two rushing TD’s.
