Trick Play By BYU Sets Up 16th Consecutive Made Field Goal By Oldroyd

LOGAN, Utah – A trick play by BYU set up a 16th consecutive made field goal by Jake Oldroyd during the Cougars’ game against the Utah State Aggies.
The Aggies hosted the Cougars at Maverik Stadium on Friday, October 1.
Midway through the opening quarter, BYU pulled a special play out of its bag of tricks.
After some misdirection, BYU wide receiver Neil Pau’u threw a 13-yard pass to Cougar quarterback Baylor Romney.

The play moved the Cougars into the red zone. After a few mistakes, BYU was back up to the USU 32 yard line.
On fourth and goal, Oldroyd connected on a 49-yard field goal to give the Cougars a 10-0 lead with 5:06 left in the first quarter.
It was the 16th straight make by the BYU kicker.

After the series, Romney was 5/5 passing for 84 yards.
