Moore’s One-Handed Interception Leads To Allgeier’s TD Run To Start BYU/USU Game

LOGAN, Utah – Malik Moore’s interception on the opening drive led to a Tyler Allgeier touchdown run to start BYU’s game against the Utah State Aggies.
The Aggies hosted the Cougars at Maverik Stadium on Friday, October 1.
USU started the contest on offense and on the sixth play of the game, Aggie quarterback Logan Bonner lofted a deep ball into BYU territory.
With 13:09 left in the opening quarter, Moore picked off Bonner with an excellent one-handed interception.
It was Moore’s fourth career interception.

Three plays after the turnover, Allgeier sprinted down the sideline for 22 yards and into the end zone for six points.
The score gave the Cougars an early 7-0 lead.

After the play, Allgeier had one carry for 22 yards and a touchdown. It was Allgeier’s fifth rushing touchdown of 2021.
BYU quarterback Baylor Romney was 2/2 passing for 47 yards.
