No. 1 Corner Canyon Keeps Winning Streak Alive With Shutout Win Over Westlake

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The top ranked Corner Canyon Chargers took care of Westlake with a 56-0 shutout win on the road on Friday night.
Devin Brown threw five touchdown passes, two to Blaze DeGracie and Cody Hagen, while connecting with Jon King once. Isaac Wilson had a TD pass to Tate Kjar. Harrison Taggart and Luke Henstrom each had a pick-six.
Here are all of the results in the 6A classification from the eighth week of the high school football season.
Region 1
Clearfield 0 @ Layton 35
Garrett Gifford threw three touchdown passes, finding Nicolas Sanders twice and Jack Tolman once. Sanders also had a rushing touchdown, as did Elias West.

No. 23 Davis 10 @ Farmington 31
The Phoenix held Davis scoreless in the second half while scoring two touchdowns in the upset win. Easton White threw three touchdown passes, two to Kenyon Brown and one to Caden Reynolds. Cannon Toone returned a kickoff for a TD.

No. 15 Syracuse 17 @ Fremont 21
The Titans had a 17-14 lead with under 11 minutes left in the game when Bodee Goins found David Calvert for a touchdown to put Fremont in front with four minutes remaining. Goins also threw a TD pass to Hayden Hall, while Kyler Kotter added a rushing score. For Syracuse, Jake Hopkins threw a TD pass to Dylan Croxford and Daxton Faddis had a rushing touchdown.
Region 2
No. 22 Kearns 62 @ Granger 32
Iosefa Toia’ivao accounted for eight touchdowns, seven passing and one rushing. He found Isaac Luckart three times, Kapeli Smith twice and once to both Lua Tafili and Briar Beddow.

Hunter 43 @ Taylorsville 10
Omarian Jackson led the way with three rushing touchdowns for Hunter. Kenyon Jackson added a rushing TD and a receiving score.
Roy 31 @ Cyprus 20
Parker Kingston accounted for four touchdowns, one passing to Josh Williams and three rushing. Kobe Bennett added a rushing score for the Royals. Skyler Armenta threw two touchdowns for the Pirates, finding Julius Tikoisuva and Devontee Kufiadan.
Region 3
No. 14 Mountain Ridge 32 @ No. 19 West Jordan 26 OT
Mountain Ridge needed a field goal to tie the game and go to overtime. Once in the extra period, Ayden Helm ran in the game-winning touchdown, his second of the game, to give the Sentinels the win. Cade Uluave and Semisi Kinikini each had one rushing TD. Boston Farmer threw two touchdowns, finding Dillon Kuehne and Carter Baldwin for West Jordan.

No. 6 Bingham 56 @ Copper Hills 0
Dallen Martinez threw touchdown passes to Luke Wilson and Gage Sundloff. Martinez also ran in a TD. Cody Lazenby had two rushing scores, while Havea Foto, Parker Shulsen and Carson Sudbury each had one score on the ground.
Riverton 28 @ Herriman 9
Herriman had a chance to stay in the game as they were trailing 14-9 going into the fourth quarter but Riverton scored two unanswered touchdowns in the final period. Jake Meyers had one TD through the air, finding Josh Jacobson. Sau Tafisi added two rushing TD’s, along with one from Colby Barton. Herriman’s lone TD came on the ground from Carson Grundy.
Region 4
Pleasant Grove 14 @ No. 5 American Fork 41
American Fork scored 41 unanswered before PG scored their two TD’s. Maddux Madsen threw three touchdowns, two to Peyton Rees and one to Fisher Ingersoll. Dax Watts added a rushing TD. Spencer Clegg and Davis Andrews each had a pick-six.
No. 2 Lone Peak 9 @ No. 3 Skyridge 14
The Knights started things with a field goal in the first quarter. Skyridge answered with a rushing touchdown by Jeter Fenton. Dalton Young gave the Falcons a 14-3 lead with a pick-six by Dalton Young. Luke Durfey had a rushing TD for Lone Peak midway through the fourth quarter.
Non-Region
Olympus (5A) 6 @ No. 7 Weber 45
Jake Lindsay threw two touchdown passes, one to Luke Wilden and Cannon DeVries. Logan Payne added two rushing TD’s in the win for Weber.
