Chargers DB Michael Davis Recovers Pair Of Fumbles In Win Over Chiefs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU Cougars and current Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Michael Davis recovered a pair of fumbles during a win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs hosted the Chargers on Sunday, September 26.
During the game, Davis recovered two fumbles by Kansas City and gained possession for L.A.
With 2:58 left in the opening quarter, Los Angeles’ Tevaughn Campbell forced Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill to fumble the football. Davis scooped up the pigskin and returned the ball 20 yards. The Chargers turned the turnover into a touchdown on the next drive.

After the touchdown, the Chargers forced another fumble on Kansas City’s subsequent possession. With 11:06 remaining in the first half, Campbell forced a fumble by Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Davis recovered the ball and returned it 14 yards. Once again, Los Angeles took advantage of the turnover and scored another touchdown.

The Chargers went on to defeat the Chiefs, 30-24.
Davis finished the game with three total tackles, two solo tackles, and two fumble recoveries.
With the win, the Chargers improved to a 2-1 record this season.

Los Angeles’ next game is against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, October 4 at 6:15 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN.
