Utah LB Karene Reid Snags First Career Interception Against Washington State

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah linebacker Karene Reid recorded his first career interception during the Utes’ game against the Washington State Cougars.
The Utes hosted the Cougars at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, September 25.
With 2:48 remaining in the opening quarter, Reid picked off Washington State quarterback Jarrett Guarantano.
The freshman linebacker from American Fork returned the ball 13 yards to the Utes’ 25-yard yard.

The game was tied at 0-0 after the former Timpview standout’s pick.
Unfortunately for the Utes, the turnover didn’t result in any points as Washington State forced a punt five plays later.
The contest remained scoreless at the end of the first quarter.

Both programs entered the contest with 1-2 records this season.
Utah’s game against Washington State is broadcast on the Pac-12 Network and 700 AM.
