Utah, Florida Announce Date For 2022 Football Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football and the University of Florida announced the date for the 2022 meeting between the Gators and Utes.
The Gators will host the Utes in Gainesville, Florida on September 3, 2022. It will be the season opener for both teams.
Utah’s series with Florida was originally announced in September 2020. The agreement between the two programs is a home-and-home with the Gators hosting the first matchup.
The Utes will host the Gators at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2023. The date for the 2023 contest has yet to be announced.

Utah and Florida have only played once. Their only meeting came in November 1977. The game was played in Gainesville. Flordia won the contest, 38-29.

This season, Utah owns a 1-2 record, while Florida sits at 2-1 and is ranked No. 11 in the country.
Utah’s next game is against the Washington State Cougars on Saturday, September 25 at 12:30 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
