Peasley, Bonner Combine For Five TD Passes, Lead Utah State In Shootout Win Over Air Force

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State quarterbacks Andrew Peasley and Logan Bonner combined to throw five touchdown passes and led the Aggies to victory in a shootout with the Air Force Falcons.
Air Force hosted USU at Falcon Stadium in Colorado on Saturday, September 18.
Peasley and Bonner combined to toss five touchdown passes and carried the Aggies to a 49-45 win over the Falcons.
Bonner, who started the game, finished 21/34 passing for 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Peasley was 10/15 passing for 195 yards and three touchdowns.

The Aggies won the back-and-forth game thanks to the duos’ performances.
The Utah State receivers had an excellent game thanks to the touchdown passes from Bonner and Peasley.

USU receiver Deven Thompkins had nine catches for 188 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Bowling hauled in nine catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Justin McGriff had six receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown. Carson Terrell had two catches for 22 yards and a touchdown.

USU stunned Air Force behind 36 second-half points and an Aggie defense that held the Falcons to 21 points after halftime.
Aggie running back Calvin Tyler Jr. ran the ball 19 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
With the result, Utah State improved to 3-0 on the season, including a 1-0 record in Mountain West Conference play.
It is the first 3-o start for USU in 43 years.

The Aggies’ next game is against the Boise State Broncos on Saturday, September 25 at 10 a.m. (MDT) on CBS Sports Network.
