SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The BYU Cougars turned an Arizona State Sun Devils mistake into a Tyler Allgeier touchdown to start the game between the two teams.
The Cougars hosted the Sun Devils at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah on Saturday, September 18.
BYU won the coin toss in pregame. The Cougars chose to kickoff to being the game and receive the ball at the start of the second half.
ASU’s Geordon Porter fumbled the kickoff and BYU’s Hayden Livingston recovered the ball at the Sun Devil 12-yard line.
Three plays later, Allgeier ran the ball four yards into the end zone for the opening score of the game.
