Rising won Utah’s starting quarterback job heading into the 2020 season. He suffered a season-ending injury during the Utes’ first game last year.
Before the 2021 campaign, Brewer transferred from Baylor to Utah and beat Rising out for QB1.
This season, Rising appeared in Utah’s season-opener and was 2/2 passing for 29 yards and a touchdown.
Utah’s game against San Diego State is broadcast on CBS Sports Network and 700 AM.
