Utah’s Britain Covey Bursts 80 Yards For Touchdown On Punt Return Against SDSU

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah receiver and returner Britain Covey broke loose and returned a punt for a touchdown during the Utes’ game against the San Diego State Aztecs.
The Aztecs hosted the Utes at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on Saturday, September 18.
With 8:02 remaining in the first quarter, SDSU punted for the second time in the opening quarter.
Covey caught the punt before sprinting past a pair of Aztecs on the near sideline. After that, Covey was gone.
The touchdown gave the Utes a 7-0 lead.

It was Covey’s second punt return of the contest.
After the play, Covey had two returns for 97 yards and a touchdown.

The Utes entered the game with a 1-1 record on the season.
Utah’s game against San Diego State is broadcast on CBS Sports Network and 700 AM.
