Kaden Cox, No. 9 Ridgeline Blowout Rival Sky View

SMITHFIELD, Utah – The No. 9 ranked Ridgeline Riverhawks took care of their crosstown rival Sky View with a 35-10 blowout win on Game Night Live.
Kaden Cox led the way for Ridgeline with five total touchdowns, three passing and two rushing. Reed Wilde ran in Sky View’s only touchdown of the game in the loss.
On Ridgeline’s first drive of the game, they fumbled the ball on a pass to wide receiver up the sideline. Shortly after, Sky View coughed up the ball when Garrett Zollinger ran up the middle and the ball was hit loose.
Ridgeline capitalized as Kaden Cox threw a touchdown pass to Stratford Simmons. The Riverhawks took a 7-0 lead with under four minutes left in the first quarter. Ridgeline took a two-touchdown lead when Kaden Cox ran in the touchdown to give them a 14-0 lead with 7:30 remaining in the first half.
Sky View didn’t fold after trailing by two touchdowns as Reed Wilde ran in a two-yard touchdown, putting the Bobcats within one score, 14-7 with 2:39 left until halftime. After converting a third at eight, Cox found Jackson Olsen for a 57-yard touchdown to give the Riverhawks a 21-7 lead with 1:20 remaining in the first half.

Sky View managed to make a long field goal to trim the deficit to 21-10 with just 27 seconds left in the half.
At the start of the second half, Zollinger fumbled the ball for the second time and Ridgeline recovered. The Riverhawks made Sky View pay for the turnover with a touchdown pass from Cox to Peyton Knowles to take a 28-10 lead with 5:22 left in the third.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Zollinger went out with an injury after a hard hit. Ridgeline scored another touchdown, this time on the ground with Cox. That gave the Riverhawks a 35-10 lead with under five minutes to play.
Ridgeline improved their record to 6-0 on the season and will stay on the road to face Mountain Crest on Friday, September 24 at 7 p.m. MDT.
Sky View dropped their record to 3-3 on the year. They will be on the road to face Logan on Friday, September 24 at 7 p.m. MDT.
