Morris, Mitchell Lead Desert Hills In Upset Of No. 24 Dixie

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Desert Hills Thunder upset the No. 24 Dixie Flyers on Friday evening, 40-24.

No. 24 Dixie 24 @ Desert Hills 40

The Desert Hills Thunder upset the No. 24 Dixie Flyers on Friday evening, 40-24. Desert Hills’ Tyden Morris and Jakeho Mitchell both scored two touchdowns in the Thunder’s win. With the result, Desert Hills improved to a 5-1 record and Dixie fell to 2-3 on the season.

Region 10

Snow Canyon 35 @ Hurricane 7

The Snow Canyon Warriors beat the Hurricane Tigers on Friday, 35-7. Snow Canyon’s Hunter Johnson scored a pair of touchdowns in the game. With the result, Snow Canyon improved to a 4-2 record and Hurricane fell to 2-4 on the season.

No. 16 Pine View 62 @ Cedar City 29

The No. 16 Pine View Panthers ran past the Cedar City Reds on Friday night, 62-29. Pine View’s Keith Adams ran for four touchdowns in the Panthers’ victory. With the result, Pine View improved to a 5-1 record and Cedar City fell to 2-4 on the season.

Region 11

Logan 46 @ Bear River 42

The Logan Grizzlies snuck past the Bear River Bears on Friday, 46-42. Logan scored a go-ahead touchdown in the final minute of action to capture the victory. Jalein Hoth ran scored three touchdowns for the Grizzlies. With the result, Logan improved to a 5-1 record and Bear River fell to 0-6 on the season.

Mountain Crest 14 @ Green Canyon 21

The Green Canyon Wolves took down the Mountain Crest Mustangs on Friday, 21-14. Green Canyon’s Jack Stevens connected with Cole Fife for the game-winning touchdown in the final minute of play. Stevens finished the game with three passing touchdowns. With the result, Green Canyon improved to a 5-1 record and Mountain Crest fell to 1-5 on the season.

Non-Region

Cyprus (6A) 6 @ Crimson Cliffs 20

The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs defeated the Cyprus Pirates, 20-6. The Mustangs scored 20 unanswered points before the Pirates scored their first and only touchdown late in the fourth quarter. With the result, Crimson Cliffs improved to a 3-3 record and Cyprus fell to 1-5 on the season.
