Anderson Julio Fires Shot Past LAFC To Tie Match Early In Second Half
SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake forward Anderson Julio beat the LAFC goalkeeper on the counter to tie the match early in the second half on Sunday night.
In the 48th minute, Albert Rusnak had the ball on the counter attack when he made a nice pass to Anderson Julio. He was one-on-one with the LAFC goalkeeper and fired the ball past his right foot and into the back of the net.
That goal tied the match at two goals apiece. It’s the sixth goal of the season for Julio.
LAFC scored first right out of the gate when Cristian Arango scored 20 seconds in to the match. Damir Kreilach fired a rocket past the keeper in the 28th minute to level the match at one. Just two minutes later, Arango notched a brace with a goal in the 30th minute.
Real Salt Lake will return home to face the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. MDT on the KSL 5 TV app, KSLSports.com or the KSL Sports app.
