SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah and current New Orleans Saints safety Marcus Williams intercepted Green Bay Packers during Week 1 of the NFL season.
The Saints hosted the Packers at TIAA Bank Field, the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, on Sunday, September 12. New Orleans is currently displaced due to the impact of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana.
With 4:50 to go in the third quarter, Rodgers aired out a deep ball intended for Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Williams fell back in coverage and picked off the overthrown ball from Rodgers.
It was Rodgers’ second interception of the game.
