BYU WR Samson Nacua Scores Touchdown Against Former Team In Rivalry Game

PROVO, Utah – Former Utah and current BYU wide receiver Samson Nacua scored a touchdown against his former team, the Utes, during the rivalry game.
BYU hosted Utah for the rivalry game at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, September 11.
With 0:04 left in the first half, BYU quarterback Jaren Hall found Nacua across the goal line for six points.
It was Nacua’s first touchdown as a Cougar and it came in his second game as a BYU player.

Before transferring to BYU for the 2021 season, Nacua played at the University of Utah from 2016-20.
During his Utah career, Nacua had 82 receptions for 1,015 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Nacua’s touchdown catch extended BYU’s lead to 16-7. The Cougars missed the extra point kick after the score.
The touchdown capped an 11-play, 93-yard drive that lasted 3:10.
The Cougars went into the locker room with a 16-7 lead.

After the score, Nacua had two catches for 10 yards and a touchdown.
Hall was 11/18 passing for 93 yards and two touchdowns.
