PROVO, Utah – BYU head coach Kalani Sitake looked like the player he was more than two decades ago when he caught a ball thrown away by Utah quarterback Charlie Brewer.
BYU hosted Utah for the rivalry game at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, September 11.
After the Utes forced a three-and-out on BYU’s opening possession of the game, Brewer and Utah’s offense went to work.
With 12:37 remaining in the first quarter, Brewer threw a ball out of bounds after not finding any open receivers.
Sitake sprinted down the sideline and snagged the ball out of the air and looked like the former BYU player he once was.

Two plays later, Brewer threw an interception, which was caught by BYU’s Chaz Ah You.
Utah’s defense held on the drive and forced the Cougars to punt.
