BYU Football Announces Four Cougar Legends As Flag Bearers For Rivalry Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU football announced four Cougar greats as the team’s flag bearers for the upcoming rivalry game against the University of Utah.
The Cougars will host the Utes at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, September 11.
A little over 24 hours from kickoff, BYU announced its flag bearers for the contest.
BYU legends Dennis Pitta, Austin Collie, Max Hall, and Reno Mahe were selected to run flags onto the field and lead the Cougars onto the gridiron prior to kickoff.

Utah is currently on a nine-game winning streak against BYU. Hall was the last BYU quarterback to lead the Cougars to victory over the Utes.

Reno Mahe

Career Stats vs. Utah: 11 catches for 160 yards and one touchdown, 83 return yards
In addition to the normal flags (stretch Y logo flag, Utah state flag, U.S.A. flag) that BYU runs onto the field during pregame, the Cougars have created special flags for the rivalry game.

Flags honoring those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and the late Utah running back Ty Jordan will be run onto the field.

The Utah vs. BYU game is scheduled to kick-off at 8:15 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN and KSL News Radio 102.7 FM and 1160 AM.
