SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has announced that it will sponsor and participate in the One Light, One Life Luminaria Memorial on Friday, September 10th as part of the 2021 Utah Healing Field, honoring and remembering the victims on the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The memorial begins at 6:30 p.m. and will end around 8:00 p.m. MT.

Real Salt Lake employees as well as the mascot Leo the Lion will help light the 3,000 luminaries set by each flag to light up the field.

“The tribute represents light through darkness, offering hope and healing to friends and families who lost loved ones that day,” Real Salt Lake stated in their press release.

The 3,000-flag display will be open to the public beginning September 9 and culminates with a special patriotic performance by the Utah Symphony and a US Air Force flyover at 7:00 p.m. MT on September 11.

10000 Centennial Parkway, Sandy, Utah 84070 is the location for members of the public interested in attending.
