Ravens QB Tyler Huntley Shows Dual-Threat Talent During Preseason Game Against WFT

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley showed off his dual-threat ability by running and throwing for multiple touchdowns during the Baltimore Ravens’ preseason game against the Washington Football Team.
Washington hosted Baltimore on Saturday, August 28.
With 1:10 left in the opening quarter, Huntley ran out of the pocket and into the end zone for a touchdown.
The former Utah standout’s touchdown gave the Ravens a 7-0 lead. It was Huntley’s first drive of the contest.

With 7:12 remaining in the first half, Huntley tossed an eight-yard touchdown pass to Eric Tomlinson.
Huntley’s second score gave the Ravens a 16-0 advantage.

Later in the second quarter, Huntley threw his second touchdown pass of the contest when he hit Binjimen Victor for 25 yards.
Huntley’s third touchdown stretched Baltimore’s lead to 23-0.

Huntley and the Ravens took a 23-3 lead into the locker room at halftime.
During the first two quarters, the former Utah QB was 14/17 passing for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers resulted in a 148.0 rating.
Huntley added two carries for 14 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The Ravens received the football to start the second half and Huntley went to work again.
Huntley threw his third touchdown pass of the contest on a 20-yard strike to James Proche II.
The score extended Baltimore’s lead to 30-3 with 9:54 to go in the third quarter.

With 4:13 remaining in the third quarter, Huntley scored his fifth touchdown of the contest on a 10-yard toss to Tylan Wallace.
Huntley’s fourth touchdown pass gave the Ravens a 37-3 lead, which ended up as the final tally.

Huntley finished the game 24/33 passing for 285 yards and four touchdowns. He added six carries for 14 yards and touchdown as a runner.
The quarterback is currently competing to serve as Baltimore’s QB2 behind starter and fellow dual-threat Lamar Jackson.
Huntley was known as a dual-threat in college and has proved that ability translates to the NFL level.

Unfortunately for Utah fans, Baltimore’s game against Washington is only broadcast in local markets.
Huntley and the Ravens begin their regular season schedule against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, September 13 at 6:15 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN.
