Former Utah OL Sam Tevi Suffers Knee Injury During Colts’ Final Preseason Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Utes offensive lineman Sam Tevi suffered a knee injury during the Indianapolis Colts’ final preseason game.
The Detroit Lions hosted the Colts at Ford Field on Friday, August 27.
During the Week 3 preseason game, Tevi suffered a right knee injury.

The tackle was unable to put weight on his right leg and was carted off of the field.

Indianapolis went on to defeat Detroit, 27-17.

About Sam Tevi
Before his time in the NFL, Tevi was a standout player at the University of Utah. He played for the Utes from 2013-16.
Tevi was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers during the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He played for the Chargers through the 2020 season.
In March, Tevi signed a one-year deal with Indianapolis.
The Colts open the regular season against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 12 at 11 a.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on FOX.
