Through 55 games with the club, he has won 18, drawn 14, and lost 23 for a 32.73 win percentage. In 2021, RSL currently sits in sixth place in the Western Conference.
The race for a playoff position is well and truly on the cards.
Freddy Juarez RSL Career
Juarez took over as interim manager midway through the 2019 season following the departure of Mike Petke at the helm. That year, Juarez led RSL to a third-place Western Conference finish that concluded with a defeat to the Seattle Sounders in the conference semifinals.
He was announced as the sixth head coach in club history on December 4th. That year was disrupted by the pandemic and RSL struggled to close the year out. They missed the playoffs by a large margin as they finished 11th in the West.
This year, however, was a step in the right direction for Juarez who looked to have finally begun to play the style of soccer that he had envisioned.
Pablo Mastroeni will take over as interim manager for RSL’s next fixture against Vancouver this upcoming Sunday, August 29th, at BC Place.
