Former BYU RB Ty’Son Williams Scores First NFL TD During Ravens/Panthers Preseason Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU and current Baltimore Ravens running back Ty’Son Williams scored his first touchdown as an NFL player during a preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers hosted the Ravens for Week 2 of the preseason on Saturday, August 21.
Ty’Son Williams’ First NFL Touchdown
With 9:08 remaining in the fourth quarter, Williams ran up the middle for 20 yards and fought of defenders as he fell into the end zone.
It was Williams’ first career touchdown.

The former BYU running back’s score gave Baltimore a 20-3 lead.
The Ravens went on to win the contest by the same score.
Williams finished the game with 10 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Out of the backfield, Williams had two catches for 15 yards.
Tyler Huntley
Fellow local in the NFL and Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley finished the game 24/34 passing for 187 yards and one interception. Huntley ran the ball seven times for 23 yards in Baltimore’s win. He was the only Ravens quarterback to play against the Panthers.

Baltimore’s final preseason contest is against the Washington Football Team on Saturday, August 28 at 4 p.m. (MDT).
Williams and the Ravens begin the regular season against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, September 13 at 6:15 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN.
