Zach Wilson Tosses First NFL Touchdown In Jets/Packers Week 2 Preseason Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson threw his first touchdown as an NFL player during the New York Jets’ Week 2 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers hosted the Jets at Lambeau Field on Saturday, August 21.
Wilson led the Jets to a field goal on the team’s opening drive of the game.
Early in the second quarter, Wilson threw an 18-yard strike to Jets tight end Tyler Kroft.
It resulted in New York’s first touchdown of the contest and the first score of Wilson’s career.

The Wilson-Kroft connection capped a six-play, 65 yard drive by the Jets.
The former BYU quarterback’s toss gave New York a 10-7 lead with 13:46 left in the second quarter.
After the drive, Wilson was 8/10 passing for 110 yards and one touchdown. Wilson’s performance gave him a 145.8 rating to that point of the game.

Later in the quarter, Wilson connected with Kroft in the end zone for the second time. The touchdown gave New York a 17-14 with 1:53 left in the first half.

The pass ended Wilson’s day against the Packers.
The former BYU star finished the contest 9/11 passing for 128 yards and two touchdowns. He recorded a 154.7 rating during his time on the field.
New York’s game against Green Bay is broadcast on the NFL Network.
