SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Monarchs trip to San Antonio FC this weekend will be no more, following USL’s announcement that the game has been rescheduled for September 1st due to multiple San Antonio players testing positive for Covid-19.

The league is acting out of an abundance of caution, and all local and state health protocols are being followed, according to the press release.

This season, the Monarchs are currently ranked last in the Western Conference Mountain division as they have only secured 16 points through 18 matches played. The Monarchs are currently nine points off the pace from making a playoff appearance.

It appears that their regular season will conclude proceedings for 2021, barring anything unforeseen unfolding down the home stretch of the season.

The Monarchs will now travel to Indianapolis, Indiana for a date with the Indy Eleven at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Saturday, August 28, at 5 p.m.

All Monarch home fixtures are available to stream for free via the KSL Sports & KSL 5 TV apps or on KSL Sports dot com.

The next home fixture will be against San Antonio on September 11.
