SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera said he’s “real pleased” with Dax Milne and added that the former BYU wide receiver is ahead of schedule for a young player in the NFL.
Rivera praised the rookie from South Jordan, Utah following Washington’s first preseason game.
”He’s ahead of where you think a lot of young guys would be at this time,” the head coach said of Milne. “I’m real pleased with what he’s shown us.”

Milne had two receptions for 16 yards on four targets during Washington’s 22-13 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 1 of the NFL preseason.
“He’s progressed very well. He really has,” Rivera added. “You see his natural route running ability showing on certain situations, circumstances. The thing is he caught a lot of balls in college, so you know he came here prepared. He’s taking coaching very well. You see him coming out of his own element, starting to create who he is, his own persona.”
