Utah LB Devin Lloyd Named Preseason All-American By National Publication

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University of Utah football junior linebacker Devin Lloyd has been named a preseason All-American by a national publication.

The Athletic released their preseason All-American list that was voted on by their staff and Devin Lloyd made their first team. Lloyd is one of three Pac-12 players to make the first team, while two players from the conference made the second team.

Here is what The Athletic said about Devin Lloyd.

The Utes played only five games in their pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Lloyd finished with 10 tackles for loss anyway, including four in the team’s final game against Washington State. That’s only one fewer TFL in a five-game season than he had in 14 games in 2019, when he was already one of the Pac-12’s best linebackers.
