SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake striker Albert Rusnák has been named to the bench of this week’s Major League Soccer Team of the Week after his performance against Austin FC last weekend.

Rusnák, 27, played a key role throughout RSL’s 1-0 victory over Austin FC. He played at his preferred center attacking midfield position and was pivotal when RSL looked to capitalize in their attacking third.

Since the start of this season, Rusnák has struggled with his form. However, over the past two months, Rusnák has refound his ability to impact games. On multiple occasions against Austin, Rusnák linked with teammates to best give his chance an opportunity to score.

Rusnák has started and appeared in every match this season. He has played 1,603 minutes and already surpassed his minutes played in 2020.

Next Match

This upcoming Wednesday, August 18, RSL will host Houston Dynamo with kick-off scheduled for 8 p.m.

RSL vs. Houston will be available to stream for free on the KSL Sports & KSL 5 TV apps or on KSL Sports dot com.
