Former Ute Kyle Kuzma Writes Farewell Message To Lakers Fans After Trade To Wizards

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Utes and Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma wrote a farewell message after getting traded to the Washington Wizards.
Kyle Kuzma was involved in the trade that sent him, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell to the Wizards, Spencer Dinwiddie from the Nets to the Wizards, Aaron Holiday and Isaiah Todd from the Pacers to the Wizards. The Lakers sent Isaiah Jackson to the Pacers, while the San Antonio Spurs traded Nikola Milutinov to the Nets and a 2022 second round pick to the Wizards. Washington sent Russell Westbrook and draft picks to the Lakers, among other pieces involved in the five-team trade.
Once the trade became official, Kuzma wrote a farewell message on The Players’ Tribune on Tuesday thanking the Lakers organization and fanbase for the time he spent with them coming into the league from the University of Utah.

Kuzma shared a story about a time when he first got into the NBA that he kept talking to GM Rob Pelinka about meeting Kobe Bryant. They finally had dinner together. Then he talked about his experience winning a championship with the Lakers and playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Finally, Kuzma talked about a workout he did with Kobe Bryant.
