SALT LAKE CITY – One day after reports emerged that Jimmer Fredette would be in Las Vegas for the 2021 NBA Summer League, there was a change of plans.
According to a report from Nuggets Insider Mike Singer, Fredette will not participate due to a “last-minute issue.”

Yesterday, Fredette’s brother, TJ, posted a message on Facebook that read, “People have been asking me so just wanted to say this report is correct, will be fun to watch!!” But, unfortunately, the Sin City fun has now been taken away.

Fredette’s last appearance in an NBA regular season game was with the Phoenix Suns during the 2018-19 campaign. Since his exit from the NBA, he’s had stops with Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague, and now he’s currently with the Shanghai Sharks in the CBA.
Two years ago, Fredette had a brief two-game appearance in the NBA Summer League with the Golden State Warriors before leaving the team to minimize the risk of injury.
