SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Mike Conley channeled The Wolf Of Wall Street in his announcement that he was returning to the Utah Jazz for the next three seasons.

Just moments after free agency opened, news broke that Conley was returning to the Jazz on a three-year contract worth between $68-72.5 million.

Channeling Martin Scorsese’s film, Conley edited his head onto the famous Wolf of Wall Street scene of Leonardo DiCaprio saying he wasn’t leaving his high profile job as a stock trader.

In The Wolf Of Wall Street, DiCaprio portrays the infamous stockbroker Jordan Belfort who wound up spending nearly two years in prison for stock market manipulation.

Belfort earned the nickname “The Wolf Of Wall Street” during his carer and published a novel detailing his life in 2007. Scorsese’s biopic about Belfort was released in 2013.

In the scene, DiCaprio tells his employees that despite pressure from the FBI to resign, he wouldn’t leave his high-powered role at the stock firm he founded.

In Conley’s edit, the Jazz guard is seen telling Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Jordan Clarkson, and Bojan Bogdanovic that he was returning to the roster.

Conley made his first all-star team last year averaging 16.2 points, 6.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds for the Jazz. The guard shot 44 percent from the floor and 41 percent from the three-point line.

The 33-year-old was a pivotal piece in the Jazz earning the best record in the NBA during the regular season.

While teams can agree to deals with players today, contracts won’t become official until August 6 when the new league year officially begins.
