SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Real Salt Lake forward Corey Baird has been traded to the Houston Dynamo for $750K in General Allocation Money (GAM) and a 2022 international roster spot.
Baird On The Move
The news comes just seven months after RSL traded Baird to LAFC for $500K in GAM and an international roster spot. LAFC, in just seven months, made $250K from a 14-game career that included 3 goals and 2 assists. The majority of Baird’s playing time came earlier in the year when injured LAFC captain Carlos Vela was sidelined. Baird had not scored or assisted since May.

The move comes a few days after LAFC unloaded midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye and a future 2022 1st round pick to Colorado Rapids for $1 million in GAM and a 2022 international roster spot.
Baird’s immediate future with Houston is pending medical testing. His availability for this week’s fixture against RSL is unlikely, given the short time frame between the trade and kickoff.
