SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz traded the 30th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Jazz had a series of talented players sitting on the board at number 30 but opted to make the move in exchange for a series of second-round picks.
Memphis will reportedly send the Jazz three second-round picks, including the 40th pick in this year’s draft and two future seconds per the Daily Memphian’s Chris Herrington.

The Jazz had depleted their draft stockpile in recent seasons acquiring Mike Conley from the Grizzlies and trading for Jarrell Brantley in 2019, but now have access to additional trade and draft assets in the coming season.
All first-round picks come with guaranteed contracts whereas teams are free to negotiate the value and length of second-round picks.
The Grizzlies used the 30th pick to draft Santi Aldama out of Spain and Loyola.
