Taylor Sander, USA Volleyball Bounce Back With Win Over Tunisia

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU standout Taylor Sander and USA Volleyball rebounded from a loss to the ROC with a solid victory over Tunisia.
Team USA played Tunisia in group play on Tuesday, July 27.
Sander helped the United States with the match, 3-1.
The victory improved Team USA’s Olympic record to 2-1.

Tunisia won 25-23
USA led 10-2 before Tunisia responded and went on to win its first set.

USA won 25-14
Sander tweaked his ankle during the third set and exited the court late in the set. He would return to action at the beginning of the fourth set.

USA won 25-23.
Sander had 17 points for Team USA. The former BYU hitter was 14/20 for 60.0 percent hitting on the attack. Sander was 1/5 on blocks in the match.
USA Volleyball’s next match is against Brazil on Thursday, July 29 at 8 p.m. (MDT).
