11 Utes Selected To Preseason All-Pac-12 Team

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – 11 members of the Utah Utes football team was selected to the preseason All-Pac-12 Team.
Five players made the first team, including offensive lineman Nick Ford, defensive end Mika Tafua, linebacker Devin Lloyd, kicker Jadon Redding and Britain Covey as a returner. Covey also made the second team as a wide receiver. Offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea was the only other Utah player to receive second team honors.
Five Utes received honorable mention, including tight end Brant Kuithe, defensive tackle Viane Moala, cornerbacks JaTravis Broughton and Clark Phillips III along with long snapper Keegan Markgraf.
Utah had the most first team selections in the Pac-12.

Leading up to the 2020 season, eight Utah players were selected to the preseason All-Pac-12 Team, including Brant Kuithe (first team), Nick Ford (first team), Orlando Umana (second team), Simi Moala (second team), Mika Tafua (second team), Britain Covey (second team returner, honorable mention WR), Viane Moala (honorable mention), Devin Lloyd (honorable mention).
Utah will kickoff the 2021 season on Thursday, September 2 against Weber State at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Networks.
