David Ochoa Named To MLS Team Of The Week After LAFC Performance

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake goalkeeper David Ochoa has been named to the MLS Team of the Week for his outstanding efforts against LAFC over the weekend.
Ochoa, 20, made seven saves on the evening against LAFC in RSL’s 2-1 loss. The young prodigy was constantly under pressure throughout the contest as LAFC dominated the chances created.

His evening was highlighted by a penalty save after he guessed correctly to deny Carlos Vela the game’s go-ahead goal in the 60th minute.
Ochoa put together his best game in an RSL uniform. It is the first time in which Ochoa has been named to the MLS Team of the Week. Damir Kreilach leads all RSL players with two MLS Team of the Week nominations throughout the 2021 MLS season.
