SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Lone Peak High School football and their youth league are putting together a car wash for a good cause on Friday, July 16.

“We need your help!” The post started. “As you know, the Taufa family has been parto of our LP Football family for over a decade. Their children have grown up in the program and they’re now supporting their grandchildren as they come up through the Youth League and High School Football programs – Siale Tahi, Jr. Tahi, Silo Tahi, David Tahi, Pili Mounga and Fihi Mounga are currently amazing athletes in these programs.

“Recently, their grandfather, Sonia Taufa, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer,” the post continued. “As you can imagine, his treatments will be intense and expensive. We want to help and show our love and support for this wonderful family during this difficult time. Come get your car washed by Lone Peak Football players and make a donation to help the Taufa family.”

According to their Instagram post, the car wash will be on Friday, July 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Garry and Jeana Pay’s Cul de Sac which is located at 4884 West 11130 North in Highland, Utah.

“Swing by, shine up our car and donate to a good cause,” the posted read. “Please let your family and friends know. If you can’t make it to the car wash and would still like to support the family you can venmo money to @taufafundraiser. Thank you for your support.”
