The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect has emerged as one of the top wide receiver prospects out west in the class of 2022. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Hagen is the No. 55 rated wide receiver nationally.
Last season, Hagen was one of the favorite targets for Gatorade Player of the Year Jaxson Dart en route to an undefeated State Championship season. Hagen had 55 receptions for 1,184 yards and 18 touchdowns. He hasn’t experienced a defeat yet in his high school playing career. Corner Canyon is currently on a 40-game winning streak.
The Chargers open up the 2021 season against Farmington on August 13.
Cody Hagen is a top-notch athlete
Along with his high-level production on the field, Hagen is an elite athlete. This past May, at a high school track & field event down at BYU, Hagen ran a 10.52 100m dash. It was the second-best time of the event. He was also part of a 4×100 meter relay team with Corner Canyon teammates that produced the 6A record for fastest 4×100 time at 40.68.
Hagen hasn’t announced a timeline as to when he plans to announce his commitment. Currently, the 247Sports Crystal Ball projections give the edge to the Stanford Cardinal. A 4.0 student, Hagen received an offer from the Cardinal back on May 13.
The early signing period for football recruits begins on December 16.
