PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s soccer program released its non-conference schedule for the 2021 season.
BYU just concluded a unique spring season during the 2020-21 academic year, but now the sport returns to its typical fall slate. Last year was delayed to the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Coming off an 11-4-1 spring season that saw the Cougars receive a No. 12 seed and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament, BYU Women’s Soccer gears up for a challenging non-conference schedule this fall.
BYU will face six teams from Power Five conferences, a seventh if you count the Big East as a power conference, with Marquette on the schedule.

The season gets started with BYU hosting Big Ten power Ohio State on August 19 at South Field. Ohio State is one of three non-conference foes on BYU’s schedule in last year’s NCAA Tournament.
Throughout the nine-game non-conference schedule, BYU leaves the state of Utah only twice. Both trips take the Cougars into SEC Country, facing Auburn (Aug. 21) and Arkansas (Aug. 30). The one other road trip comes on Sept. 9 when BYU makes the bus ride to Salt Lake City to take on rival Utah.
BYU’s home schedule at South Field also features matches against USC (Aug. 26), Marquette (Sept. 2), and Missouri (Sept. 11). The non-conference schedule concludes on Sept. 18 against in-state rival Utah State in Provo.

Jennifer Rockwood enters her 27th year as the BYU Women’s Soccer head coach. She appears to have another loaded squad led by WCC Offensive Player of the Year Mikayla Colohan returns and nine other starters that features Cameron Tucker.
