SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Real Salt Lake striker Sebastian Soto has joined Portuguese club, FC Porto, on loan from Norwich City.
Soto, 20, spent multiple years developing under the guidance of the RSL Academy before taking his talents to Europe. He first joined Hannover 96 in 2019 before being sold to Norwich City in England’s Championship division in 2020.
Now, Soto will play for one of Portugal’s premier clubs in Porto FC, specifically, Porto’s B team.

Nonetheless, Soto will be at a club that has proven more than capable of developing talent. FC Porto became most famous when it hired Jose Mourinho and endured multiple years of European success including winning the UEFA Champions League in 2004.
Previously, FC Porto was a dominant European team in the 1980s when legendary manager Bobby Robson was at the helm.
FC Porto B has an option to buy Soto at the conclusion of the loan.
