In 2011, Utah and Colorado became the Pac-12’s 11th and 12th full-time members.
Prior to the addition of the Utes and Buffaloes, the conference was known as the Pac-10 Conference. As its members changed, the Pac-12’s name changed. Previous names for the conference included Big Five, Big Six, Pac-8, and Pac-10.
In addition to the Utes’ anniversary, July 1, 2021 marked the start date for new conference commissioner George Kliavkoff.
After 12 years at the helm, Larry Scott’s tenure as Pac-12 commissioner ended and Kliavkoff’s began.
